“It’s great to immerse yourself in the US market to hear firsthand what is happening and find areas of cooperation”

Gaming industry technology supplier Comtrade Gaming  has confirmed its participation at this year’s Global Gaming Expo (G2E), set to take place at The Venetian in Las Vegas from October 10th – 13th. Ahead of the event, Yogonet held an exclusive interview with Steven Valentine, Chief Commercial Officer, who shared insights into the company’s plans for the event as well as the remainder of the year.

What will the company focus on at G2E Las Vegas?

We focus on two main product areas. One is our leading enterprise-level PAM and the other is our RGS. When it comes to the PAM, we already work with some of the largest operators in the world, we are talking billions of GGR going through our platform.

We don’t have the same level of exposure to the USA market though and we are looking for clients that want a fully customized PAM to their specific requirements. As the market matures this is an element of a gaming operation where operators put a lot more focus on and we specialise in migrating operators from their existing supplier.

The second product is our RGS, it’s a remote gaming server that is used by slot game vendors and very large operators. It’s already licensed in all the US iGaming states, and it allows slot games to be created very quickly via the SDKs and extensive game frameworks.

What does this participation at G2E mean for Comtrade Gaming, especially given the prestige of the event?

It’s great to immerse yourself directly in the US market to hear firsthand what is happening and to find potential areas of cooperation. The continued push for iGaming in the states where sports betting is already legalized is the most interesting for us.

Having a casino offering as well as sports increases the need for a good PAM significantly, bonusing becomes much more varied and the player journeys become much more important. We fit very well into the 2-move lifecycle for an operator.

Where do you see the gaming industry headed, and how are the markets where Comtrade Gaming has a footprint developing?

We have always been very focused on individual clients rather than specific individual markets. If we feel we can help a certain operator and there is a long-term synergy, then we are happy to flex our business to meet their demands. We have never been a mass market provider; we are suited to operators that require a lot more attention and bespoke development. We are a provider/partner that people select for 10+ years where we share a vision of long-term growth.

One of Comtrade Gaming’s products that has seen a spike in demand is the RGS technology. What are the key propositions of this solution?

Our RGS technology is probably one of the most commercially exploited RGSs on the market. For large vendors, we can provide a source code license so they can bring the technology in-house almost immediately. For smaller more boutique game vendors, we can provide it on a software-as-a-service basis meaning they have their own RGS at a very affordable cost.

The speed with which new games can be built is critical and the flexibility of our RGS to create new game frameworks or extend slot features is why our RGS has been so successful. It’s very adaptive, easy to license and we can support a vendor as much or as little as they need.

What should we expect from Comtrade Gaming for the remainder of the year? What other industry events does the company plan to attend in the near future?

We have just migrated another significant-sized operator to our iGaming platform; we will be announcing that in the next few weeks. The good news is they have already seen an almost instant 20% increase in GGR, so they are extremely happy! These guys have some fantastic ideas and a real enthusiasm for the business, and we look forward to a very long and successful partnership.

Regarding other events, on the back of SBC Barcelona and G2E, we will be exhibiting for the first time at SiGMA Malta. It’s a great event to close the year out before it all starts again in 2024 with ICE!
