Nevada: Henderson City approves sale of land to Station Casinos for new resort project

Station Casinos has been approved to buy 3.8 acres of land in the Inspirada Community of Henderson, Nevada. The Henderson City Council greenlighted the development agreement, with council members unanimously approving zoning changes and permits for the proposal, during their regular meeting on Tuesday.

The proposed Inspirada Station, located on Via Inspirada between Via Centro and Bicentennial Parkway, would offer customers an “experience similar to Red Rock Casino Resort Spa in Summerlin,” executives stated in a plan submitted to Henderson officials in December last year.

Inspirada Station would be built in three stages and encompass 900,000 square feet once complete. “One thing you may not know is there are over 2,400 of the team members from Station Casinos that are residents of Henderson,” representative Jim Ferrence told the council, as reported by KSNV. “And so it’s comprehensive, the commitment to the city of Henderson by the company.”

Station Casinos plans for it to include 80,000 square feet of casino gaming floor, 600 hotel rooms, four restaurants with outdoor dining and an 11-unit food hall, 30,000 square feet of banquet meeting space, as well as a bowling alley, and a movie theater.

The completed resort would permanently employ 1,738 people and generate an estimated $25.4 million annually, Station Casinos reports. Records filed with the city indicated construction is expected to begin in January 2024 and opening would be in March 2025. All dates were noted as being tentative and subject to change.
